Thomas Petrungaro – Piano & Voice
homas Petrungaro teached Piano and Voice at Desert Ridge Music Academy. He is a director, vocal coach, and MFA Theatre for Youth graduate student at Arizona State University.
He has recently been awarded a Counter Act Seed Grant to produce musical performances in women’s shelters for caregivers and their babies. He works locally as a musical director in a number of local and regional theatre in Arizona.
In September 2018, Thomas was a resident artist at The Barn Arts Collective in Bass Harbor Maine and was awarded a 2018 Jim Rye IPAY fellow. His recent directing credits include a youth ensemble touring production of Finegan Kruckermeyer’s musical version of The Grumpiest Boy in the World. He taught K-6 music for two years in public school and served as the co-founding Artistic Director of Arizona Repertory Theatre for Kids Musical Theatre from 2013-2016.
